1. Information We Collect
We collect information you give us when you create an account, post a property, submit an enquiry, subscribe to our newsletter, or contact support. This includes your name, email address, mobile number, city, and — for owners and agents — KYC documents required to verify listings. We also collect information about how you use HindHomes: pages you visit, searches you run, properties you shortlist, and the device and browser you use.
2. Cookies and Similar Technologies
HindHomes uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (recent searches, city, view mode), measure how our product performs, and — with your consent — to personalise recommendations and serve relevant advertising. You can control cookies from your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may break parts of the site.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to operate HindHomes, verify listings and identities, connect buyers with owners, send you enquiries and responses, keep you signed in, respond to support requests, prevent fraud and abuse, comply with the law, and — where permitted — improve our product and marketing. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Data Storage and Retention
Your data is stored on secure servers located in India and in trusted cloud regions with equivalent protections. We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by Indian law. Account data is retained for the life of your account plus 24 months after deletion, for fraud-prevention and legal-compliance reasons.
5. Third-Party Services
We use a small number of trusted third-party services — for example, cloud hosting, analytics, WhatsApp Business messaging, mapping (Google Maps or OpenStreetMap), payment processing, and email/SMS delivery. Each is bound by contractual obligations to protect your data and use it only for the service they provide to us.
6. Your Rights
Under the DPDP Act, 2023 you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct or update it, request erasure (subject to legal retention), withdraw consent for optional processing, and nominate a person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity. 7. Security
We use TLS everywhere, encrypted storage at rest, role-based access controls, and continuous monitoring. Passwords are hashed with a modern algorithm and never stored in plain text. Despite these measures, no online service is 100 % secure — please use a strong password and enable two-factor authentication when it is available.
8. Grievance & Contact
For any privacy question, complaint, or request, contact our Grievance Officer at grievance@hindhomes.com. We aim to acknowledge every request within 48 business hours and resolve it within 30 days.
9. Updates to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The 'Last updated' date at the top will always reflect the most recent version, and we will notify signed-in users of material changes....
